Empowering Women Through
Reproductive Health Awareness

The Fibroid Embolization Foundation Kenya (FEMAH) is a non-profit organization passionate about empowering women and promoting awareness of their reproductive health. Our primary focus is to educate women about fibroid embolization, a safe and effective treatment for uterine fibroids. We firmly believe that knowledge is power, and by equipping women with accurate information, we aim to empower them to make informed decisions about their reproductive well-being..

Fibroid embolization, also known as uterine artery embolization (UAE), is a medical procedure performed by interventional radiologists. It involves blocking the blood supply to the fibroids, causing them to shrink and eventually disappear. Unlike surgical treatments such as hysterectomy or myomectomy, fibroid embolization is a non-surgical, minimally invasive option that does not require the removal of the uterus or major incisions.
